Anti-freeze layer 0-32 mm

The HMVA-2 slags produced by Blue Phoenix, which are generally available in 0/32 mm grain size, are subjected to comprehensive quality assurance in accordance with TL G SoB-StB in combination with the requirements of the German Substitute Building Materials Ordinance (ErsatzbaustoffV) to ensure safe use, depending on the area of application. The quality assurance consists of

• a certificate of suitability
• a factory production control
• external monitoring

The quality assurance is carried out by an independent monitoring center accredited in accordance with RAP Stra.

Test Certificate

Proof of suitability as a mineral substitute building material (including initial / type testing and operational assessment) and the implementation of quality monitoring are carried out in accordance with TL G SoB-StB/TL BuBE-StB (classified road construction and earthworks), as well as in accordance with §§ 4 to 13 of the German Substitute Building Materials Ordinance (ErsatzbaustoffV) and are ensured at all Blue Phoenix locations in Germany.

Characteristics

The most important technological *characteristic values of HMVA-2 slag 0/32 (frost protection layer):

Ideal water content: 10 - 16 per cent by mass (M.-%)
Bulk density as delivered: 1.25 - 1.35 t/m³
Bulk density: 2.40 - 2.50 t/m³
Spatial stability after 30 days: ≤ 1 -1.5 ‰ (limit value ≤ 3 ‰)
Density in the installed state: 1.60 - 1.80 t/m³
Typical installation layer thicknesses are between: 20 and 40 cm.

The load-bearing capacity (deformation modulus) to be achieved with a layer thickness of ≥ 30 cm and a degree of compaction of ≥ 103 %:

• Subgrade of ≥ 45 MPa
• EV2 ≥ 120 MPa
• EV2/EV1 ≤ 2.2
