Inashco North America, Inc. Signs First U.S. WTE-Ash Metals Recycling Contract

 Rotterdam, Netherlands, November 28, 2012

Inashco, the global leader in non-ferrous metals recovery from waste-to-energy ash announced today that it has signed its first U.S. contract with 1st Response Rail Services, Inc. The facility, expected to begin operations in March 2013, will have capacity to process up to 400,000 tons per year of in-coming municipal waste-to-energy ash. The facility will utilize the commercially proven Inashco Advanced Dry Recovery (ADR) technology for recovering the high value fine (< 12mm ) non-ferrous metal fraction.

Initially processing approximately 150,000 tons per year, 1st Response and Inashco will be marketing additional capacity to other waste-to-energy facilities in the region. Marc Furman, CEO of 1st Response stated “1st Response is proud to host and operate the first Inashco installation in the U.S. and is eager to expand their ash processing operations across the U.S. “. John Joyner, President of Inashco North America stated, “This first U.S. installation will be followed by additional facilities that will significantly improve the economics of waste-to-energy projects in the U.S. We are finally able to recover the high-value, fine non-ferrous metal fraction while producing a better mineral fraction for eventual re-use instead of landfilling”.
